Post-Oscars, what's better than escaping life with the imaginary world of movies?

Not everyone watched the Oscars this year & those who did were getting sleepy by hour three! The magical movie clips were missed, so let’s take a look at past greats who took top honors. Thanks to Burger Fiction, grab your Oscars popcorn for “Every Best Picture Winner (1927-2019)." It was posted before 2020 so that year’s forgotten – but who doesn’t want to forget 2020? It’s cool to see in 1956 things suddenly switch to technicolor! And while they’re just two of the TEN (!) actors to have a role in back-to-back Best Picture winners, these actors star in the consecutive winners’ clips: Russell Crowe in “Gladiator” (2000) & “A Beautiful Mind” (2001); Michael Keaton in “Birdman” (2014) & “Spotlight” (2015). The only woman of the group? Who else. Meryl Streep for “The Deer Hunter” (1978) & “Kramer vs Kramer” (1979).

Ever in the kind of mood where you want to tell everyone to sod off & then you cue up your favorite movie & all is magically better? We all know the feeling, which is why Elle magazine gives us a real treat: enjoy “40 Happy Films that Will Lift your Mood.” Some entries come with trailers but many feature iconic clips that take us down memory lane. Relive one of the funniest wedding ceremonies from “Four Weddings & a Funeral” or the fight scene from “Bridget Jones’s Diary.” Forgot there was a fight scene in Bridget Jones? It’s the best throw down since Rocky vs Creed…
