Never too late

One artist proves you can inspire – and be inspired - at any age.

The phrase “better late than never” is embodied by one Michigan artist coming into her own at an inspiring but unusually delayed age. Don’t be fooled by this unassuming former art teacher – Shirley Woodson is also an artist who recently enjoyed her very first one-woman museum show at the incredible age of 85 years old! Travel with CBS Sunday Morning to the Detroit Institute of Arts, where Woodson seems as full of life in her museum debut as her vibrant, colorful paintings.
