Never forget
On the 20th anniversary of 9/11, we remember the legacy of those lost.
The “children of 9/11” refers to the 100 babies born after their fathers were lost in the tragedy of 9/11. People Magazine profiles four children of 9/11 heroes who are trying to live up to their lost fathers’ legacies & who are featured in a documentary. It’s beautiful to see how much each child looks like their dad & to hear how they’re forging their own path with great strength as their families try to rebuild.

Each year since 9/11, one of the most stunning remembrances has been the “Tribute in Light,” conceived by a group of artists & designers to beam two columns of blue light four miles into the sky to represent the Twin Towers. The display can be seen from a 60-mile radius around lower Manhattan. Catch this beautiful ode to the 9/11 “Tribute in Light” itself from the 911 Memorial & Museum. This year, over 40 buildings around the city will be lit up in blue to join in this special 20th anniversary tribute.
